* Job Description:

** This position will function in a fast paced medical setting, specializing in one or more areas of medical care. The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism and excellent communication skills to foster and contribute to a collegial environment, with the primary focus of providing outstanding care to our patients and their families.

Essential Functions:

* Facilitates an exceptional patient care experience by ensuring and assisting patient flow within the office, attending to needs of patients, their families and medical staff
* Prepares patient for physician visit: obtains and documents appropriate vital signs and health history information in Electronic Health Record (Allscripts)
* Clinical duties may include:  Checks vital signs, Give injections (including immunizations), Medication administration, breathing treatments, dressings, vision/hearing testing, suture removal, patient education and assisting physician with procedures, Distributes/educates regarding home spacers and nebulizers
* Documents, records, and reports necessary patient information
* Laboratory testing may include:
Specimen collection (including finger sticks/venipuncture), documentation, recordkeeping, and reporting and telephone and walk-in triage
* Assist patients with any paperwork necessary for the visit
* Assists with follow up calls to families regarding visits/procedures
* Checks and maintains Crash Cart chart
* Provides excellent, clear documentation in every area of the office.  All documentation is done in the Electronic Health Record, either by entry or by scanning documents
* Works closely with physicians to ensure patient and family needs are met in an expeditious manner
* Performing laboratory tests
* Maintains compliance with all company policies, procedures and standards of conduct
* Complies with HIPAA privacy and security requirements to maintain confidentiality at all times
* Performs other duties as assigned#

Job Description:

* Education:

* Graduate of an accredited RN program (required)

Experience:

* Minimum of two years’ clinical experience (required)
* Experience in a physician’s office or hospital setting

Licensure:
* Active Kentucky Registered Nurse License or compact license with privileges to work in Kentucky (required)

Certifications:

* Basic Life Support (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) (required)
* Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) (required)
