Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room travel position requiring an active KY or compact RN license and recent OR experience.
Responsibilities- Work in the Operating Room (Surgery department) of a hospital setting
- Day shifts from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm
- 13-week contract assignment
- Care for surgical patients in a high-acuity environment
- Provide perioperative care including pre, intra, and post-operative nursing
- All RNs are required to complete mandatory CPI modules, which may be done onsite
- Candidates with unexplained work history gaps of 3 months or more will need to provide justification
- Holiday and weekend shifts may be required as scheduled
- First-time travelers are not restricted from consideration
- Active KY or compact RN license with no disciplinary actions
- At least 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience
- Current AHA certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required at the time of consideration
- Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification required; may be completed onsite
- COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations are mandatory
- U.S. Social Security Number required for consideration
- Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility (no local travelers accepted)
