Nursing Instructor - LPN

Job Summary

The Nursing Division of Jefferson Community and Technical College has an opening for a Practical Nursing instructor Nursing Instructor for the Downtown and the extended campuses.

• This position could have teaching responsibilities at all JCTC campuses which offer nursing courses.
• This position will be responsible for full-time didactic and clinical instruction in the Nursing Program.
• Academic advising
• Course and curriculum development
• Internal and external community service
• Educational leadership and professional development

• Master’s Degree in nursing with at least five years’ experience in Nursing.
• Must have an unrestricted unencumbered KY Nursing License or compact state License to practice nursing in the state of Kentucky.

• At least five years’ experience in Nursing.
• BSN will be preferred, will take ADN with BSN in progress. Considered with the requirement of obtaining an BSN in nursing education within 5 years.
• Medical-surgical nursing experience is required within the last 5 years.
• Strong written and oral communication skills are required.
• Must be proficient with technology, including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Preference will be given to qualified applicants with previous teaching experience, knowledge of nursing at the associate degree level, and leadership experience.
