Job Description:
Full Time 36 weekly hours, Days - three 12-hour shifts, every 3rd weekend, & support shifts required
About the Unit:The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is a 20-bed critical care unit specializing in neurologic care. Staff working in ICU will encounter a variety of nursing needs, including stroke, post-op neurosurgery, ventricular drains, abdominal pressure monitoring, CRRT, and hypothermia.
Job Duties:The ICU nurse assesses and identifies patient needs and implements appropriate interventions. They establish and maintain a plan for nursing care, ensure interventions address patient problems, and perform technical care competently. ICU nurses must have strong critical thinking skills. They act as a resource for families and patients, guiding them through all stages of the critical care journey.
