American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Telemetry position requiring 2 years of acute inpatient tele experience and a KY or compact RN license.

• Work on a 32-bed Ortho & Spine unit providing telemetry care
• Patient ratio of 6:1
• Patient population includes orthopedic, spine, and general medicine diagnoses
• Medication administration includes pain management and insulin
• RN reads telemetry but does not titrate medications
• Uses CPAP, PCA, feeding tubes, wound vac, and trach care skills
• Night shift schedule of 6:45p-7:15a, every other weekend required
• 36 hours per week over three 12-hour shifts
• Unit supported by APRN staff and uses self-scheduling
• Uses Epic EMR

• Active KY or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required
• Minimum 2 years of acute inpatient telemetry RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience required

• Responsible for patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation of telemetry patients
• Provides patient and family education specific to care, treatment, and discharge needs
• Delegates tasks to licensed and non-licensed staff and may serve as a mentor or preceptor
• Participates in quality, safety, and service improvement initiatives
• Applies evidence-based practice within a practice governance framework
• No local rate deduction applies to this position
