Spectrum Healthcare Services is recruiting experienced PACU Registered Nurses interested in upcoming PRN and local contract opportunities at ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs) in Louisville, KY.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from sedation or general anesthesia in an ambulatory surgery setting
- Monitor vital signs, oxygen saturation, levelof consciousness, and overall recovery status
- Maintain a clear and open airway through appropriate positioning, suctioning, and oxygen therapy asneeded
- Assess and manage postoperative pain and other anesthesia-related side effects
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments during the recovery process
- Evaluate patient readiness for discharge and provide postoperative instructions to patients and family members
- Communicate patient status and recovery progress with anesthesia providers, surgeons, and clinical staff
- Maintain accurate andtimely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)

- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- CurrentRN license in the state of Kentucky
- Minimumof 2 years of recent PACU orpost-anesthesia recovery experience required
- Previous ambulatory surgery center or outpatient surgical experience preferred
- CurrentBLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA)
