• Perform required inspections and chemical tests on raw materials, in-process, final products, storage tanks, drums, shipping, and other samples accurately and promptly.
• Learn all SOPs and test methods needed to perform sample analysis safely and consistently.
• Record data in the lab computer system for various sample types.
• Generate Certificates of Analysis for finished products in preparation for shipment.
• Operate existing instruments and learn to operate new instruments.
• Use lab instruments with maximum accuracy and efficiency.
• Perform calibration checks and keep control charts on lab instruments.
• Troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on instruments.
• Learn and apply new scientific techniques.
• Train others on new and existing instruments, procedures, and SOPs.
• Collaborate with team members to improve shift‑to‑shift consistency, testing quality, reproducibility, and safety.
• Fill in for other technicians.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area and inventory of needed supplies.
• Perform weekly safety shower inspections.
• Handle other tasks and special testing as needed.
• Perform shared lab duties with teammates.

• Minimum 3 years of directly relatable experience in a chemical laboratory operation with knowledge of current technology and methodology.
• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or biochemistry.
• Willingness and ability to work rotating shift and/or night shift.
• Strong team player with good interpersonal skills.
• Solid work ethic and ability to work independently.
• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks, including multi‑tasking.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Aptitude for understanding technical concepts, with outstanding attention to detail.
• Familiarity with computer database management and software (SAP, Microsoft Word, Excel, analytical instrumentation software, etc.).
• Working knowledge of statistics, control charting, and math ability.
• Physical: walking, driving, standing majority of time; carrying, pushing, pulling, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, fingering, talking, hearing, seeing, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
