Job Title and Summary

Bartender – Derby City Gaming Downtown, Louisville, KY, 40202

• Consistently prepares drinks according to Derby City Gaming Downtown recipes and specifications, fulfilling cocktail server orders in a timely manner.
• Maintains cleanliness of the bar area and assists with inventory control, stocking, and proper rotation of product.
• Prepares and sells all menu drinks and handles all transactions in accordance with cash handling policy.
• Sets up and breaks down the bar area, side work, and projects as necessary.
• Ensures sanitation and health department regulations for safe handling of alcohol.
• Provides “responsible alcohol service” and meets all training requirements.
• Builds and maintains great guest relations, promoting loyalty opportunities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Knowledge of all bar equipment, cash registers, and the company’s beverage system.
• Strong interpersonal working relationships among all personnel.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and handle high pressure, high volume demands.
• Black non-slip shoes required.

• A high school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Two or more years of bartending experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain a valid Racing License.
