Millwright

Purpose –

Pace is seeking candidates with a strong mechanical background to install, maintain, and repair industrial equipment and perform field fabrication as needed.

Job Responsibilities –

Education and Experience –

• Previous construction experience or equivalent preferred.
• Strong mechanical skills.
• Hands-on experience in at least two key skill areas listed below.
• Relevant certifications like AWS, NCCER, or equivalent are preferred.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems, blueprints, and safety standards (e.g., OSHA).
• Familiarity with tools and machinery used in welding, pipe fitting, and metal fabrication.

Skills and Abilities –

• Ability to weld using stick and wire feed methods; certification is a plus.
• Proficiency with plasma cutters, grinders, and oxygen/acetylene torches.
• Ability to work independently and adhere to work schedules.
• Skill in measuring and laying out materials per drawings and specifications.
• Ensure finished work meets blueprint tolerances.
• Knowledge of installing and maintaining flanged piping systems.
• Proficiency in installing and maintaining industrial pumps for fluid management.
• Experience with piping systems assembly, installation, and repair, including blueprint reading and material selection.
• Ability to cut, shape, and assemble metal structures.
• Experience with wastewater treatment systems and related equipment maintenance.
• Understanding of water treatment processes and system installation and maintenance.
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects, stand for long periods, and perform strenuous labor under adverse conditions.
