Team Fishel
, the Best Choice Employer in the utility construction business, is looking to hire Gas Fusers with experience fusing PVC pipes for natural gas utilities. This role will be part of our Joint Trench group in our Louisville, KY location!

The Joint Trench team services multiple utility construction projects, including:

• Ditch digging (2 feet wide and 4 feet deep) in newly established developments,
• Installing conduit system for electric, telecom, CATV customers,
• Sand padding 12 inches of sand and laying gas pipe,
• Fuse on gas services (2" - 4"),
• Setting pedestals and plastic boxes over pipe ends stubbed at property lines,
• Rough back filling ditch lines.

• Installation of new steel gas mains & services using tools such as a welding machine, cutting torches.
• Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings, and related equipment, according to specifications, by welding, brazing, soldering.
• Inspect, examine, and test installed systems and pipelines, using pressure gauge, observation, or other methods.
• Measure and mark pipes for cutting and threading.
• Layout of pipe, supports, and related equipment, following blueprints.
• Plan pipe system layout, installation, or repair according to specifications.
• Modify, clean, and maintain pipe systems, units, fittings, and related machines and equipment, following specifications and using hand and power tools.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two + years related work experience.
• Valid Class A CDL Drivers license preferred.
• Meet all DOT requirements (physical and drug testing).

Prior construction experience is a plus.

Bilingual experience is a plus.
