Draws, reads, and interprets electrical wiring diagrams. Possesses knowledge of electrical and electronic components, wiring practices as described by the National Electrical Code, and can trouble‑shoot electrical problems on equipment while practicing electrical safety at all times.
Essential Responsibilities- Use engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and other related documents to assemble HVAC units and sub‑assemblies.
- Use an assortment of hand, power, and testing tools.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area and keep equipment orderly.
- Complete unit paperwork and QC checklists.
- Report defective equipment to a supervisor.
- Install and wire a variety Specialized electrical components.
- Determine proper wiring practice and installation procedures.
- Assemble and wire electrical components, controls, and panels for engineering, including prototypes.
- Test components and circuitry with various gauges, meters, and testing equipment.
- Practice electrical safety at all times.
- Maintain and safeguard personal protective equipment.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Address unsafe acts and conditions.
- Assist with additional responsibilities as assigned by a supervisor.
- Assist the Electrical Engineer in completing wiring diagrams for production jobs.
- Assist production techs with electrical problems on jobs when required.
- Completion of a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency with common hand tools, gauges, multimeters, and hand‑operated power tools.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs without lifting equipment.
- Preferred electrical wiring and testing experience. Safety /
- Knowledge of applicable health and safety legislation and plant safety rules.
- Participation in toolbox talks and monthly training. **ป
- Take precautions to protect coworkers.
- Act promptly to address unsafe conditions and report issues to management.
- Assist in accident investigations as needed to determine root causes.
- Complete accident and incident reports promptly.
- Lift 50 lbs as required.
- Lean, stoop, and stand as required.
- Stand for 6–8 hours per day (overtime may extend this).
- Maintain good visual and spatial perception.
- Follow established safety policies, including mobile equipment, PPE, emergency response, HAZCOM, and first aid.
