Days/
Hours: 40 hrs for the week - Expect a rotating shift.

NOT REMOTE

Directs multi-mode transportation service offerings (e.g., trucking, railroad, steamship, etc.) for distribution customers. Oversees vendor selection, negotiates rates and plans transportation routes to meet customer needs, and transit time expectations. Ensures that transport carrier performance meets UPS standards and regulatory compliance and provides recommendations for operational improvements. Ensures maximum efficiency and utilization of the transportation network fleet to reduce transportation costs and improve margins for UPS.

This position is embedded in the current SDF Line Operation Center. This employee supports daily line operations with data reporting/ long term report projections and A/C material validation. Background in aircraft maintenance terminology and Maintenix is preferred. Must be proficient in data visualization and MS office products.

Provides administrative or technical support to ensure effective on-going operations. Applies knowledge of established processes and procedures to execute with excellence.

Performs administrative work that requires working knowledge and skills developed through formal training or work experience. Recognizes and solves typical problems that can occur in own work area by evaluating and selecting solutions from established options. Impacts own team through the quality of the services or information provided. Works within established procedures with a moderate degree of supervision.
