Warehouse Manager
Amteck is seeking a dependable and organized Warehouse Manager to support our Louisville, Kentucky branch. This is a local position responsible for coordinating warehouse operations, inventory, equipment readiness, and material deliveries that keep electrical construction projects moving safely and efficiently.
· Load and unload trucks using forklifts and/or manual methods.
· Secure materials and equipment using tie-downs, chains, plastic wrap, and other approved methods.
· Drive ½-ton and ¾-ton pickup trucks and a 14-foot stake-bed truck for scheduled deliveries; tow and manage trailers, including proper hookup, unhooking, loading, and unloading.
· Organize, track, and control inventory at the warehouse and job sites.
· Perform general warehouse duties when deliveries are not scheduled.
· Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment.
· Maintain trucks, trailers, generators, racking systems, tools, and related equipment so they are ready for projects.
· Perform minor building repairs and maintenance, such as gates, doors, lights, and air compressors.
· Coordinate with local vendors and repair facilities for equipment servicing.
· Work closely with project and field teams to schedule material pickups and deliveries.
· Communicate clearly about material, tool, and equipment labeling and storage.
· Support coworkers and contribute to a collaborative, service-focused team environment.
· Occasionally travel long distance for up to three days when business needs require.
· Valid driver's license and ability to pass a DOT physical.
· Experience operating powered industrial equipment, including forklifts.
· Knowledge of properly strapping and securing loads on delivery vehicles.
· Experience driving stake-bed, flatbed, or bucket trucks.
· Basic computer skills.
· Previous electrical construction or electrical industry experience is strongly preferred, but not required.
· Strong organization, time management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team.
· Commitment to safety, quality, and dependable service.
· Frequently stand, walk, sit, and use hands to handle materials and tools.
· Lift and move up to 50 pounds frequently, including over distances of 30 feet or more.
· Work at heights above 30 feet and climb ladders or stairs.
· Bend, kneel, work in confined spaces, and perform repetitive motions as needed.
· Work in varying weather conditions and environments.
· Understand oral and written instructions and communicate effectively.
