Receptionist, Administrative​/Clerical

We are seeking a part time receptionist to join our busy, friendly and experienced reception team. The position is for 23 hours per week based at our North Somercotes site - Tuesday 8am-5.00 pm, Thursday 8am-5.00pm, Friday 12.30pm-6.30pm.

You will also need to be available to cover holidays and sickness on the other days of the week and also have the ability to travel to our Manby site., Reception is the first contact our patients have with the surgery. We are looking for a caring and confident individual who will be able to assist patients with their needs. In this busy environment you will be answering the phone, using the computer system and communicating with our other departments.

• Booking appointments for patients either over the telephone or in person
• Answering phone call's and responding to enquiries
• Opening and sorting post
• Chaperoning clinicians if required
• Working from specific lists to book patients in for testing
• Electronically filing documents
• Directing telephone calls to appropriate departments
• Opening and closing the premises
• Checking emails and processing documents
• Be available to cover holidays and sickness

Our opening hours are 8.00am - 6.30pm so you will be required to work inside these hours. We are looking for an enthusiastic and professional individual who demonstrates excellent communication skills and is able to prioritise workload. Previous experience in a GP setting and in using a clinical system (e.g. Systmone) would be advantageous. GCSE English and Maths Grade c or above.
