SEMH Teaching Assistant

Aspire People are recruiting for an SEMH Teaching Assistant to support pupils with SEMH needs in a school located in Louth, Lincolnshire. This role is to work full-time, on a temp to perm basis starting in September! The working hours are 08:30 - 15:30 and you will predominantly be working 1:1 with students who show disregulated behaviour.

The role requires high level of resilience and we are ideally looking for people who are energetic and have experience of working with children with social emotional and mental health needs.

Teaching Assistant role & responsibilities:

Promote inclusion and acceptance of all students
Support pupils consistently whilst responding to their individual needs
Create a safe learning environment for pupils
De-escalate behavior that challenges through the forming of trusting relationships

Must have recent/relevant experience working with children and young people, specifically those with SEND/SEMH.
Must have a passion for education
