Electrical Design Engineer

Vickerstock are working in partnership with a leading specialist MEP contractor on the appointment of an Electrical Design Engineer based in Dundalk.

This is an excellent opportunity to join an established and growing engineering business delivering complex, large-scale MEP solutions across Ireland, the UK and Europe.

Working as part of an experienced Design team, you will support the electrical design and delivery of technically challenging MEP projects from initial design through to manufacture and installation.

The role will suit an Electrical Design Engineer looking to develop their experience within a specialist engineering environment while working on major projects across a variety of sectors.

• Develop electrical designs and technical solutions for MEP projects.
• Produce and review electrical drawings, specifications and associated design documentation.
• Work closely with mechanical, electrical and BIM teams to ensure coordinated project designs.
• Support projects throughout the design, manufacturing and installation stages.
• Liaise with internal project teams and key stakeholders to resolve technical and design queries.
• Ensure designs are delivered in accordance with project requirements, relevant standards and agreed programmes.

We are interested in speaking with Electrical Design Engineers with experience within building services, MEP, electrical engineering or a related environment.

• A relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
• Previous electrical design experience within an engineering or construction environment.
• Strong understanding of electrical building services and associated design principles.
• Experience producing and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary design and project team.
