HGV Motor Vehicle Technician

Responsibilities

Responsible to the Fleet Project Manager and working under the supervision of the Workshop Supervisor; in the maintenance, service and repair of vehicle, plant, equipment, agricultural or horticultural machines, all in support of the Council's Transport and Vehicle Maintenance Service.

Provide a range of services to a range of departments across the Council, with a good understanding and working knowledge of the following disciplines: routine service maintenance, diagnosis and repair, hydraulic systems, electrical circuits, fabrication works, welding gas/electric/mig, HGV inspection manual and light vehicle (MOT) inspection.

Motor Vehicle Mechanic qualification NVQ 3 and a full, valid Class C driving licence.

The role will be based at Warwick Road Depot in Louth. It is permanent full‑time, 37 hours per week Monday to Friday, with flexibility for early starts and call‑out requirements.
