- Manage urgent and primary care walk-ins and appointments as the sole advanced practice provider for those ages 2 and up.
- Oversee the average volume of 35 patients per 12-hour day ( Three patients per hour.)
- Perform minor office procedures including laceration repair, incision and drainage, toenail removal, and orthopedic splinting.
- Perform physicals such as sports, DOT, pre-employment, and annuals.
- Evaluate patients for workers’ compensation injuries.
- 2+ years experienced in providing patient care as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant is preferred.
- Masters Degree (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) and appropriate state license
- ABMS Board certification in internal medicine and family practice preferred
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations including OSHA, HIPAA, blood borne pathogens and others
- Understanding of medical coding and billing
- Detail-oriented and confident in medical best practices
- Excellent interpersonal skills with every patient interaction
- Competent with common PC applications including Internet, Email and Microsoft Office as well as EMR applications
- Experience with occupational health practices including CME qualification, drug testing protocols, employment physicals, and OSHA guidelines
