VAVE Project Engineer III — Loveland, Colorado, US

Role OverviewAs a member of the Loveland Operations VAVE team, you will drive Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) projects through all funnel stages—from identification, valuation, and scoping to execution, release to production, and closure.
Responsibilities- Identify potential VAVE projects and develop preliminary Business Cases for evaluation and prioritization.
- Drive projects from identification to closure, managing multiple projects simultaneously across all funnel stages.
- Indirectly manage/influence cross‑functional project resources to complete deliverables.
- Develop and document VAVE team processes, standard work, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Advocate and educate VAVE as a process throughout the organization.
- Act as a technical and process resource to VAVE Project Engineers II, both inside and outside the VAVE team.
- BS Degree with 5–7 years of experience in component/system design engineering.
- Proven project‑based execution with tight deadlines and priority constraints.
- Technical acumen in design for quality/manufacturability, component design and assembly, GD&T, material selection, and systems design.
- Experience with manufacturing methods such as injection molding, machining, sheet metal, PCBA & PCB manufacturing.
- Financial analysis skills, including BOM/assembly costing, overhead cost modeling, and supplier pricing.
- Ability to identify supplier manufacturing process improvements and translate them into tangible PPV impact.
- Experience executing insource, resource, and dual‑source projects of supplier components with positive PPV impact.
- General component and assembly design experience from concept through qualification to manufacturing transfer.

Salary range: $95,000 – $120,000 USD per year, with eligibility for bonus pay. Total compensation may vary based on experience, location, performance, and other factors.
