Job Title: Recovery Technician - Full-Time Days
Reports To: Recovery Technician Supervisor
Location: Northpoint Colorado (Adult inpatient in Loveland)
Schedule: 6am-6pm, 3 days/week
Compensation: $18-22/hour

As a member of the Northpoint team, the Recovery Technician is responsible for attending to the safety and wellbeing of patients, and working with a multidisciplinary treatment team in accordance with policy and procedure, to provide the best possible patient care. This position supports the structure of the milieu through appropriate resource allocation and supervision of patients. The Recovery Technician works in a variety of settings throughout the week, including onsite at the facility and other community activities.
Responsibilities- Interact routinely with patients, observe behaviors, and communicate significant observations to clinical staff
- Follow reporting and communication guidelines when interacting with staff and patients
- Complete and maintain daily paperwork, logs, and forms accurately and timely
- Maintain daily schedules and structure, including transport, meals, and transition times
- Provide patient observation rounds and monitor activities and behaviors during scheduled shifts
- Promote recreational outings and activities, encouraging pro-social and coping skills
- Ensure the wellbeing of patients and maintain a positive, supportive, and structured environment; respond to patient needs to improve outcomes
- Maintain facility cleanliness and upkeep under leadership direction
- Assist patients with needs and collaborate with onsite clinical and medical staff as necessary
- Facilitate and assist with activity and education group sessions; document promptly and accurately
- Oversee safe and efficient transport of patients to and from facilities
- Assist in orientation of new admissions
- Use therapeutic communication skills and maintain professional boundaries with patients and families
- Be a role model for patients and foster a positive culture with staff
- Assist with treatment planning and discharge planning
- Document information regarding client care and behavior as required by policies and procedures
- Utilize de-escalation skills to maintain safety for all individuals
- Assist counseling and administrative staff in responding to emergency situations
- Maintain confidentiality per policies and standards of care
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
- Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age
- 1+ year of relevant work experience
- Strong English usage, interpersonal relationships, and communication skills
- Ability to implement and interpret department programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures
- Ability to hold strong personal boundaries and build rapport with patients
- Knowledge of surrounding geographic area for effective routing
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and balance competing demands
- Proficiency in all competency areas including patient rights, safety, and sanitation
