Overview
We currently have a full-time opening for a Licensed Counselor working between two of our No
CO clinics. This position provides clinical assessment and psychotherapy services for defined patient population. Services are provided to patients, families and/or groups and may be in inpatient, residential, and outpatient settings. Position provides treatment in areas such as substance use, emotional and behavioral issues, eating disorders and other mental disorders as outlined in DSM.
Location:
Windsor and Loveland, Colorado (locations may include: 1300 Main St., Windsor; Skyline - 2555
E. 13th St., Loveland). Shift: Monday - Friday, primarily 8am - 5pm, with two late days per week until 6pm. Shift details and work location may be discussed with the hiring manager.
- Provide assessment and direct psychotherapy to individuals, families, and groups. Coordinate all aspects of patient care from admission to discharge in collaboration with the physician and clinical treatment team. Must be independently licensed in Arizona to bill out appropriate CPT codes for independently licensed clinicians.
- Educate and orient patients, families, and others to the assigned treatment program; collaborate on a written treatment plan; involve patient and family in assessment, treatment, education and discharge planning.
- Monitor patients to assess needs and facilitate treatment; document clinical assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, summaries, and progress notes promptly.
- Participate as a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team and maintain effective working relationships with physicians and peers.
- Provide clinical updates to managed care representatives as needed; may conduct cognitive testing and document results.
- Coordinate with community-based providers to ensure post-discharge care and optimal treatment outcomes.
- May provide indirect supervision to associate level therapists to support the process of becoming independently licensed, including weekly supervision and documentation.
- May review and sign off on clinical documentation, such as treatment plans and assessments from non-licensed staff within 72 business hours of completion.
Requires a Master's degree in counseling, behavioral health, or related human services field, or educational requirement as mandated by state board to maintain licensure. Behavioral health licensure is required in the field of specialty as mandated by state board or regulatory agency. Depending on area of focus, may require a License in Clinical Social Work (LCSW) as mandated by the state board.
Typically requires 2 years of experience in a behavioral health setting and ability to work with a diverse population.
Employees working in certain Banner Behavioral Health settings with children must possess an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at the time of hire and maintain it for the duration of employment. An Arizona Criminal History Affidavit must be signed upon hire.
