Respool Machine Operator - 3rd Shift (10pm - 6am)

Job Description: Respool Machine Operator.
Department: Direct Labor.
Status: Non-Exempt.
Reports To: Production Supervisor.
Revision Date: 02/28/2025.
Shift: 3rd Shift (10pm - 6am) – training on 2nd shift (2pm - 10pm).
Pay Rate: $19.00/hour base (shift differentials may apply).
Description: This position is for a Respool Machine Operator. The operator focuses on safety, efficiency, and precision, follows safety protocols and SOPs, identifies potential issues, maintains equipment, and reports malfunctions.
Essential Job Functions:
- Operate line at a high rate of production while ensuring quality standards are maintained.
- Set up the respool machine.
- Complete in-process quality control procedures.
- Log production data into the database.
- Ensure the safety of all employees and continually improve each day (core functions).
Skills:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Basic math functions (add, subtract, multiply, divide) on various units of measure.
- Apply basic math to whole numbers, fractions, decimals.
- Make appropriate decisions regarding machine setup and product quality.
- Minimal knowledge and skill of mechanical operations.
Physical Functions:
- Lift up to 25 lbs frequently and up to 55 lbs occasionally.
- See small defects and differentiate colors during in-process QC.
- Sit and stand for long periods.
- Use fingers and hands to handle, grasp, reach, lift, push, pull.
- Occasionally climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl.
Work
Conditions:
The environment is typical of many indoor manufacturing facilities. This is a “Safety First” facility; P.P.E. gear is mandatory with no exceptions. Noise is moderate but may require hearing protection. Employees work on or around moving and heated equipment, sometimes with extreme temperatures.
