Respool Machine Operator

Department: Direct Labor Status: Non-Exempt

Reports To: Production Supervisor Revision Date: 02/28/2025

Shift: 3rd Shift (10pm - 6am) – training on 2nd shift (2pm - 10pm)

Pay Rate: $19.00 / hour base (shift differentials may apply)

Description: Operates Respool Machine. Focus on safety, efficiency, precision. Knowledge of machine handling, safety protocols, SOPs. Identifies issues, maintains equipment, reports malfunctions.

• Operate line at high production rate while maintaining quality standards.
• Set up the Respool Machine.
• Complete in-process quality control procedures.
• Log production data into the database.
• Ensure safety of all employees and continuously improve daily.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic math functions (add, subtract, multiply, divide) across units of measure.
• Basic math functions applied to whole numbers, fractions, decimals.
• Make appropriate decisions regarding machine setup and product quality.
  
  Minimal knowledge and skill of mechanical operations.

• Lift up to 25 lbs frequently; lift up to 55 lbs occasionally.
• See small defects, differentiate colors during in-process quality control.
• Sit and stand for long periods.
• Use fingers and hands to handle, grasp, reach, lift, push, pull.
• Occasionally climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl.

Indoor manufacturing facility. Safety first; PPE mandatory. Moderate noise; hearing protection sometimes required. Work around moving, heated equipment; extreme temperatures.
