Base pay range: $22.00/hr - $28.00/hr (DOE). Pay: $22-$28 per hour DOE. Expiration Date of Job Posting:

The Electrical Apprentice supports the Journeyman and/or Master Electricians while working towards licensure as an electrician. Responsibilities include assembling, installing, testing, and inspecting electrical equipment, identifying safety risks and using appropriate precautions, working with hand tools such as cable trays, conduit, and pulling wire, and ensuring color vision to identify various cables.
Job Qualifications- High school graduate or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Some experience in the electrical industry is preferred.
- Must identify basic safety hazards and know how to avoid them.
- Experience with running and troubleshooting heat trace is a plus.
- Experience with general hand tools and power tools.
- Basic electrical theory knowledge (e.g., Ohm's law) is a plus.
- Must perform physically demanding work such as digging, lifting, and pulling for extended periods.
- Must drive a company vehicle including trailer and heavy loads.
- Must follow instructions closely and adhere to leadership well.
- Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge of components.
- Identify different types, gauges, and colors of cables and wires.
- Knowledge of oil field drill sites and common electrical requirements is preferred.
- Experience in pure industrial facilities, power plants, manufacturing operations, or similar sites is preferred.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Work well with team and for individual tasks.
- Identify safety risks and the precautions required to eliminate them.
- Maintain a clean work environment.
- Assemble and install electrical equipment under supervision of a journeyman electrician.
- Terminate wires and cable to electrical equipment (breakers, control panels, distribution systems) under supervision.
- Test electrical components for continuity and proper voltage readings according to specifications.
- Inspect electrical equipment and components for hazards and operational condition.
- Set up and maintain temporary power systems.
- Install and maintain grounding systems for all equipment and structures.
- Illustrate knowledge and experience with lockout‑tagout system.
- Be available for assistance in callout on emergency outages or problems.
- Keep accurate records of hours logged, inventory parts used, and services performed.
- Provide excellent service to customers.
- Complete daily Customer Service Requests (CSR).
- Maintain professional behavior and communication with internal and external contacts.
- Effectively manage time, follow directions, and complete work within specified time.
- Successfully complete requested training classes and maintain safety certificates.
- Maintain understanding of industry safety norms and regulations.
- Properly utilize and care for company tools, supplies, and vehicles.
- Follow orders from management efficiently.
- Respond to company communications (voicemail, emails, texts) promptly and ensure mailbox is cleared regularly.
- Comply with all applicable company safety requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Willing to work in extreme weather conditions.
- Willing to follow instruction from supervisor.
- Must arrive on time and work the designated schedule and any overtime as needed with limited notification.
- Responsible for obtaining E‑Certs or proper licensing.
- Ability to travel to other work sites and remote locations as necessary; may require occasional air or vehicle travel to out‑of‑state locations.
- Must maintain a valid driver’s license with insurance coverage.
- Must be able to push, pull, or lift up to 60 lbs.
