Medium Duty Technician -rate

Overview

Medium Duty Technician — $35-$60 hourly rate

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership policies.
• Test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment; test drive vehicles to verify concerns and ensure proper repairs.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor to inform customers if additional service is needed; complete online multi-point inspection reports.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications and document warranty work to factory standards; return warranty parts and cores as required.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on a wide range of Fords as well as other makes and models.
• Provide an estimated time for initial and additional repairs and inform customers of any needed services.

• Experience in medium duty repairs
• Fast learner with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong customer service skills and team player attitude
• Computer literate and able to operate diagnostic equipment
• Valid driver’s license

• Previous MEDIUM DUTY repair experience
• Dexterity and hand-eye coordination
• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills; ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
• Positive, friendly attitude with eagerness to improve; ability to work in a dynamic environment and collaborate with others
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
