As an Underground Utility Locator, you will drive a company vehicle to job sites, use computer utility maps and specialized equipment to locate underground cables, pipes and other utilities, and communicate findings to excavation personnel.

• Drive a company vehicle from home to job sites in response to routine requests, emergencies, and relocations.
• Use mapping tools and locating equipment to find underground utilities including electric, gas, telephone and other communication lines.
• Mark utility locations with paint or flags and communicate relevant information to excavation personnel or authorities.
• Respond to after‑hours emergency call‑outs per the established rotation schedule.

• Valid driver’s license in the state of employment
• Ability to work overtime when duties cannot be performed within a normal schedule
• Completion of a pre‑employment drug screening under the company’s drug‑free workplace program
• Self‑management and timely communication with supervisors and clients

• Drive 50 to 300+ miles daily as required by the assigned geographic locating area.
• Enter and exit a vehicle 50+ times a day.
• Stand and walk lengthy distances (1+ mile) over uneven terrain in all weather conditions.
• Sit for long periods while driving.
• Lift and/or move 50 to 150 pounds.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions.

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)

$21.00 per hour
