Speech Pathologist
Overview
Staff speech pathologist will evaluate and conduct a comprehensive, medically prescribed speech therapy program to restore function for communication, voice, language, dysphagia, speech and others in the field of speech pathology. He/she will assume the responsibility of assisting patients and their families to reach their maximum potential while learning to live with the disability within the limits of their capabilities.
Responsibilities- Synthesize available data on a patient to generate a written evaluation and plan of care within 24 hours of patient encounter.
- Provide speech therapy interventions aligned with current evidence with the goal of meeting or exceeding the national outcomes for functional improvements or gain.
- Accurately document speech therapy treatments for each patient with charges generated and notes being locked midnight of day of the patient encounter.
- Demonstrate all ASHA values associated with professionalism: accountability, altruism, compassion, excellence, integrity, professional duty, social responsibility.
- Communicate with patients, co-workers, and the public in a manner that upholds Nor-Lea District s core values: including uses of appropriate grammar, syntax, spelling, punctuation and standard medical terminology abbreviations in written communication.

Master s Degree in Communication, Clinical Competency Certificate preferred
Licensure/Certification - CurrentNew Mexico Speech-Language Pathologist License Required
