Forklift Operator – Watco Logistics Retail Services

The Forklift Operator of Watco Logistics Retail Services is responsible for safely operating warehouse equipment while ensuring the safe handling of warehouse inventory.

• Perform transportation, distribution & maintenance operations
• Efficiently conduct picking and put away procedure with high level accuracy
• Adhere to all Warehouse safety policies & procedures
• Adhere to all warehousing, handling, and shipping legislation requirements
• Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security
• Ability to accept and productively react to fast-changing work environment

• Proven work experience in warehousing and/or in the distribution industry
• High level of attention to detail
• Team player with decision making and problem‑solving skills
• Verbal and written communication skills
• Thorough understanding of applicable federal, state, local, and company safety policies
• Thorough understanding of WMS (Warehouse Management System)
• High school/GED completion preferred
• Transportation or related experience preferred
• Forklift operation certification preferred
• Workplace safety certification preferred

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is performed primarily in a warehouse environment with frequent interruptions and regular high noise level. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a team member encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
• Must be able to adapt and work in warm and cold temperature environment
• Must be able to traverse and access all areas of the warehouse
