Advocates of guest experience who welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on guest interaction, loyalty enrollment and store cleanliness. Advocates of both in-store and digital services and solutions who are knowledgeable about capabilities and features that drive adoption, usage and ultimately guest loyalty. Empowered to make shopping quick and easy for guests at the check lanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up and drive up while ensuring exceptional quality.

  • Communicating and interacting with guests to build a welcoming guest experience
  • Blending problem solving and decision making to positively impact the guest experience and resolve guest concerns
  • Adapting to different guest interactions and situations
  • Promoting and engaging around various benefits, offerings and services

Typical day will include the following responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
  • Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete daily tasks
  • Engage with guests to help solve their specific needs
  • Make guests aware of current promos, store activities and events
  • Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the total store to resolve issues and improve the guest experience
  • Thank guests and confirm appreciation for their visit
  • Know and discuss benefits of Target Loyalty programs and assist with application or sign-up as needed
  • Scan and bag items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with safety standards
  • Minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy
  • Explain and demonstrate Target App features, including Wallet, and assist with enrollment and usage
  • Be familiar with Order Pick-Up, Drive Up and online ordering and guide guests to enroll and use these features
  • Handle returns following policy, collaborating with leaders as needed
  • Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area and stock supplies during store hours while remaining available to guests
  • Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance
  • Work safely and follow all safety policies, report hazards and correct where possible
  • Support guest services such as order pick up, drive-up orders, and related duties while complying with applicable laws
  • All other duties based on business needs

Additional basics
  • Accurately handle checkout operations, transactions, and support cash office operations as needed
  • Scan, move merchandise safely with the ability to lift up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 44 pounds occasionally
  • Flexible work schedule (nights, weekends, holidays); reliable attendance
