The ideal candidate will have a successful publication record and demonstrate potential for extramural funding to support their research program. We are looking for an innovative scientist whose research integrates computational and quantitative approaches to advance drug discovery, development, and translational/clinical pharmacology.

The successful candidate is expected to develop an independent basic or translational research program in areas such as:

  • Model‑informed drug discovery and development

The successful candidate will ideally bridge multiple programs and centers within the college, including pharmaceutical, nutritional, and applied biomedical sciences, and collaborate across UMass Lowell and the broader UMass system.

This 9‑month, tenure‑track appointment sits on a state‑supported line. Base salary is institutionally guaranteed and not contingent on external grant funding. Summer salary may be available via sponsored research projects or teaching.

All faculty are expected to teach undergraduate and graduate students and engage in service to the department, college, and university. Tenure‑track faculty have a base teaching load of four courses per year, with a significantly reduced load during the first four years and additional course reductions based on scholarly productivity.
