Manufacturing Engineer

• Products Supported:
  All Diode, IC Products, Control Components, Stripline & Commercial Source.
• General Package Types Supported:
  Ceramic (Stripline, pill package), Glass, Plastic (SOT, MLP, etc.) Whole Wafers, Beam Leads, Bondable Die, & Axial Leaded, Surmount, Flipchip & Discrete Die.
• Day to Day
  
  Activities:
  
  Providing support for any Manufacturing Engineering activity related to the above products. Apply product knowledge to solve complex Manufacturing issues.
• Production Support:
  Supporting Manufacturing Lines resolving assembly fixture issues, tool design, yield issues, etc. for all of the above products.
• Manufacturing Engineering Support:
  Daily interaction with the Product Engineer group.

• Interfacing with Product Engineering on product extension releases.
• Working with Planning/Product Engineering on cost reduction activities.
• Reviewing Manufacturing Process Routers for correctness and efficiency.
• Addressing any related customer request or problems funneled through the Product Engineering team. This would include requests for general assembly fixture, process methodology, equipment, tools, & process routings.
• Working with other Manufacturing Engineering staff to develop/support corporation goals.
• Supporting process engineering change notice (CO) and related Material Review Board (MRB) activities, as required.
• Estimating staffing requirements, production times, and relative costs to provide data for operational decisions.
• Product Documentation:
  Creating Assembly Process/Training Instructions, Generation of Process Routers, Work Center Creation and Maintenance.
• Equipment/Tools:
  Research, Recommend, Selection & Qualification of New Manufacturing Tools. Improve Throughput/Yield by Process Audit and Process Automation.
• Factory Layout:
  Developing factory layout for optimization of process flow and interface with necessary facility groups to install utilities/services.
• Projects:
  Involved in miscellaneous projects as required.
• Work Center Creation:
  Reclassify all work centers for each product line, unify and streamline. Create new work instructions based on each new work center and train operators on new instructions.
• Process Audit & Automation:
  Audit a given process on the manufacturing floor and determine the initial cycle time. Design an automated approach to improve the cycle.

The Salary Range for this position is $50,000 – $81,500 annually. Actual salary offered to candidate will depend on several factors, including but not limited to, work location, relevant candidates’ experience, education, and specific knowledge, skills, and abilities.
