Mechanical Engineer, SeniorJob Description:
The primary role of the mechanical engineer is to support system and subsystem product development. The Senior Mechanical Engineer will work within a small multidisciplinary team which engages across many areas of RF and phased array antenna development projects. Qualified candidates must demonstrate the ability to work with customer requirements, architect, perform analysis, develop risk reduction plans, implement, and validate performance at system level.
The candidate must also be comfortable in a fast-paced working environment, be a motivated self‑starter, an independent learner, and possess a passion for taking on technical challenges.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, MS Degree is a plus
- 3-5 years of experience defining, developing, and testing system level mechanical designs
- Passionate about electro‑mechanical product design, inventing solutions, and finding better and simpler design approaches to accelerate prototyping product
- Build 3D models and perform finite element analysis
- Rapidly prototype mechanical concept
- Familiar with thermal management design for electronics
- Experience in modeling using Solid Works tool
- Ability to perform first‑principles analysis to ensure a successful design (physics, stress‑strain, thermal, tolerance, cost and mass optimization, etc.)
- Experience with FEA, ANSYS preferred
- Desire to work in a small, dynamic, and fast paced team environment.
- Due to ITAR regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
The Salary Range for this position is $83,000–$136,000. Actual salary offered to candidates will depend on several factors, including but not limited to, work location, relevant candidate experience, education, and specific knowledge, skills, and abilities.
