Process EngineerJob Purpose:
In this critical role, you will be responsible for backend processes within MACOM's internal semiconductor fab, including the development of new fab processes and sustaining existing processes. The product portfolio includes GaN, GaAs, Si, and InP based technologies.
Duties and Responsibilities:Required:
- Excellent judgment, familiarity with semiconductor processing, and a positive, proactive attitude.
- Problem-solving skills utilizing formal education, statistical knowledge, and problem-solving tools.
- Proven track record of solving technical problems, owning projects, meeting deadlines, and multitasking.
- Strong ownership, enthusiasm, optimism, drive, and dedication to process improvement.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication skills, including technical writing.
- U.S. persons only due to ITAR regulations.
Work Experience:
- At least 2 years of semiconductor-specific experience.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering.
- Familiarity with materials systems for compound semiconductors and understanding of device physics and IC processing.
- Experience with compound semiconductor processing or similar.
- Experience with data mining, statistics, SPC, DOE, Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and structured problem solving is preferred.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or Permanent Resident due to ITAR restrictions.
