Our Application Engineering Team supports customers working with a diverse portfolio of MMIC devices—from low-frequency passives to products operating to 100GHz, with new innovations launching regularly. As an Application Engineer - MMIC Products, you’ll be an important contributor to this dynamic team and gain hands‑on experience through on‑the‑job training.
Responsibilities- Setting up and testing MACOM parts in the lab using advanced microwave test equipment (PNA‑X, VNAs, Spectrum Analyzers, Power Meters).
- Learning complex lab setups and designing custom application‑specific PCBs.
- Investigating and answering customer technical questions.
- Creating application engineering collateral such as evaluation boards, reference designs, and technical presentations.
- Analyzing production data and updating datasheets.
- Collaborating across teams—from design to reliability engineering—to deliver confidence‑building technical support.
- Organize and track incoming requests.
- Communicate expected response times.
- Provide excellent technical assistance (with mentoring from senior engineers). This responsibility offers great visibility within the company and helps you develop strong customer‑facing skills.
- Organize and manage the technical ticket database.
- Communicate with internal teams to establish response timelines.
- Create a positive experience for customers while resolving technical questions.
- Perform RF testing on PNA‑X and probe stations.
- Design and build supporting hardware (evaluation boards, reference designs).
- Update datasheets with application‑related information.
- Attend and contribute to design reviews and technical meetings.
- Develop technical presentations and collateral for customers.

- Education:
BSEE or BSECE (MS is a plus). - Preferred:
Coursework or experience in RF & Microwave engineering. - Familiarity with RF/microwave lab testing is a plus.
- Strong communication skills for interfacing with internal teams and customers.
- Creative, collaborative, and eager to solve technical problems.
- Curious, persistent, and passionate about RF & Microwave technology.
The Salary Range for this position is $59,500 – $96,000. Actual salary offered to candidate will depend on several factors, including but not limited to, location, relevant candidates’ experience, education, and specific knowledge, skills, and abilities.
