Interfacility Transfer Paramedic – Advanced Life Support – Per Diem
We are hiring an experienced per diem Interfacility Transfer Paramedic to provide advanced medical care and transportation for critical and non‑critical patients at Lowell General Hospital.
Hours: Variable day, evening, night shifts; weekends and holidays required per department operational requirements.
Location: Lowell General Hospital – 295 Varnum Avenue – Lowell, MA.
Pay Range: $30.00 – $33.59 per 8‑hour shift; total compensation includes 403(b) retirement match, free on‑site parking, and career growth opportunities.
Key Responsibilities- Provide interfacility medical transport using appropriate modalities (ambulatory assist, wheelchair, stretcher, scoop stretcher/backboard).
- Perform detailed assessments, recommend care, and maintain patient stability during transport.
- Deliver Advanced Life Support (ALS) care in accordance with Massachusetts OEMS guidelines and hospital procedures.
- Ensure patient safety, accurate documentation, and professional conduct throughout transport.
- Comply with all health, safety, and privacy regulations and use safety equipment to avoid hazards.
- Completion of an accredited Paramedic program.
- Certified Paramedic by National Registry of EMTs;
Massachusetts Certified Paramedic. - BLS and ACLS certification.
- State‑issued driver’s license.
- One year of relevant experience.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree.
- Instructor certification in BLS, ACLS, and/or PALS.
- ICS 200 and three years of relevant experience.
- PALS certification.
