This position is embedded in a police agency and involves co-responding with law enforcement to 911 calls and community crises. The CRC must be available to assist officers with individuals exhibiting signs of mental distress, providing assessments either in the community or at the police station, and facilitating rapid access to community services.
The position requires flexibility, independence, good relational skills, judgment, organizational skills, patience, self-awareness, and the ability to handle stressful situations effectively.

Additional Shift DetailsSunday - Wednesday, 12 pm - 10 pm
Responsibilities- Assist first-responding officers during call-outs, promoting an ethical and helpful environment. Serve as a clinical liaison to police personnel.
- Conduct psychiatric and substance abuse evaluations of individuals and families in crisis across various settings.
- Provide crisis intervention, case management, and short-term counseling as follow-up.
- Maintain connections with community services, documenting case consultations and referrals.
- Develop knowledge of managed care and health insurance systems; share pertinent information with colleagues.
- Participate in cross-training of police and team members.
- Master's Degree in a related counseling field and at least two years’ crisis intervention experience.
- Valid driver’s license and access to an insured, operational vehicle.
- Strong intake, interviewing, and assessment skills.
- Proactive, ethical, creative, and enthusiastic with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
- Outstanding communication skills.
- Experience serving culturally diverse populations is preferred.
- Schedule:
Sunday - Wednesday, 12:00 pm - 10:00 pm, with potential flexibility.
