Travel COTA - Skilled Nursing Facility

American Traveler is hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for a long-term care position in Lowell, MA, requiring at least 1 year of LTC or SNF experience.

• Minimum 1 year of OTA experience required
• LTC or SNF setting experience required
• COTA license required if applicable
• Active MA state licensure required
• One reference required for consideration

• Long-term care (LTC) facility setting within the Occupational Therapy unit
• 13-week assignment
• Day shift, 8-hour shifts
• No weekend requirements
• No on-call requirements
• Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment under supervision of an Occupational Therapist
• Administer ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, exercises, modalities, and use of assistive devices
• Assess patient progress and communicate with supervising OT to adjust treatment plans
• Document all treatment information in the electronic documentation system per regulatory requirements
• Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehabilitation meetings
• Support and supervise students under OT guidance as needed
• Adhere to NBCOT/AOTA and state practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics standards
• No more than 7 days of RTO may be requested
