Overview

At Sodexo, we are seeking a skilled and service-focused Imaging Service Engineer II for our HTM team at Lowell General Hospital in Lowell, MA
. The Imaging Service Engineer II will be responsible for providing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of advanced imaging systems in a hospital environment, while ensuring a high level of customer service and equipment reliability.

What You’ll Do
  • Install, maintain, calibrate, and repair complex diagnostic imaging equipment, including but not limited to General X‑Ray, Cath Lab, CT, C‑Arms, Ultrasound, and Mammography systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues using advanced diagnostic tools, test equipment, and software.
  • Collaborate closely with clinical staff and healthcare teams to identify, prioritize, and resolve equipment‑related concerns.
  • Ensure all service activities are documented accurately within departmental tracking systems.
  • Maintain compliance with hospital, departmental, and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in an on‑call rotation and provide emergency technical support when needed.
  • Support a safe, reliable clinical environment by minimizing equipment downtime and ensuring optimal device performance.

What You Bring
  • Strong working knowledge of diagnostic imaging systems and their operation.
  • Demonstrated experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining complex imaging technologies.
  • Proficiency with common tools, test equipment, and imaging diagnostic software.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and time‑management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a hospital environment.
  • Experience collaborating with clinical teams and supporting end‑users in a healthcare setting.
  • Associate degree in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, or a related technical field preferred; military training or OEM certifications are a strong plus.
  • Proven ability to manage documentation, service records, and workflow within HTM tracking systems.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree (or equivalent experience) in electronic, biomedical engineering or a discipline geared toward managing, maintaining and repairing clinical equipment within a healthcare environment

Minimum Functional Experience - 5 years of imaging equipment repair and maintenance within a healthcare environment and/or entry level of formalized training and/or equivalent military training
