Lowell Inc is looking for a weekend shift Inspection Technicians who will be responsible to perform various inspections, verifications, and documentation functions using world class metrology equipment to verify and certify that the products and services produced by Lowell meet the contracted requirements, tolerances, and overall specifications of the customer. The shift is:

  • Friday-Sunday, 6am-6pm

Inspection Technician Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform all Quality Technician functions including set-up, first article, in-process, visual and final inspections.
  • Capture and record inspection results using a variety of inspection tools and supporting software applications
  • Interpret inspection results and provide to manufacturing personnel to assist in managing their processes
  • Complete customer specified documentation including set-up inspection reports, first article inspection reports, final inspection reports, and certifications
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Ability to use a variety of inspection devices including micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, plug gages, thread gages, profilometer, toolmakers microscope and willingness to learn others as required
  • Ability to use a microscope for performing visual part inspection for extended periods of time
  • Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings/ blueprints
  • Ability to use personal computer for accessing instruction, inspection reports and creating records
  • Possess the skills necessary to communicate via English through writing and orally
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Must be able to work and be motivated to find solutions without direct supervision

Additional Skills and Experience Preferred:

  • Two-five years of quality inspection experience preferred
  • QC-Calc
  • Inspection Xpert
  • Ability to operate and/or program Vision Inspection System (Measure Mind / Zone3 / Calypso)
  • ISO 13485 regulated environment
  • Good working knowledge of Blue Print reading and GD&T
