Supervisor, Public Safety

This role focuses on preventing workplace accidents and promotes health and safety awareness and education to individuals within the organization. In addition, this role focuses on performing the following Associate Safety related duties:
Prevents workplace accidents and promotes health and safety awareness and education for employees. A management role that supervises employees focusing on tactical, operational activities within a specified area, with the majority of time spent overseeing area of responsibility, planning, prioritizing and/or directing the responsibilities of employees. Goal achievement is typically accomplished through performance of direct and/or indirect reports.

A role that supervises para-professional employees. Responsibilities that typically include:
Setting day-to-day operational objectives for team, problems faced may be difficult but typically are not complex, and ensures policies, practices and procedures are understood and followed by direct reports, customers and stakeholders.

This position is responsible for the overall command and leadership of assigned staff within the department. Responsible for the supervision, development, and performance of assigned department staff in the day-to-day protection and safety of patients, staff and visitors and the security of hospital assets and information. If licensed as a Special State Police Officer, provide enforcement of the Criminal Laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

May also be responsible for program supervision/management and external relations.

Location: Lowell General Hospital, Saints Campus - 1 Hospital Drive
- Lowell, MA

Hours: 40 Hours - (7am-3pm or 8am-4pm) and will be Monday-Friday with no general holiday requirements.

Hours: 40 Hours
- Flexible between 6:30am - 8:30pm
- Every other weekend (Sat-Sun) and every other holiday is required
