Overview

As Lead Maintenance Technician, you oversee ongoing maintenance and repairs to keep the company’s multifamily property operating and appearing at its best.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the maintenance team, supervising day‑to‑day operations and ensuring work orders are completed on time.
  • Interpret and execute work orders, addressing routine and critical repairs before they become major problems.
  • Apply technical certifications (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) to perform specialized maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain the Make‑Ready board, schedule turnovers, and keep property grounds and amenities (pool, clubhouse) in top condition.
  • Engage constructively with residents and staff, handling conversations, concerns, and conflict resolution.
  • Train junior technicians, enforce safety‑first practices, and keep the team updated on EPA, OSHA, and local regulations.
  • Collect and document maintenance data, analyze recurring issues, and propose cost‑effective solutions.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or high school diploma (GED) plus at least four years of relevant experience in property or hospitality maintenance.
  • Minimum one year of supervisory experience managing two or more employees.
  • Technical certifications in HVAC, electrical, or plumbing are highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of building systems, general maintenance tools, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
  • Valid driver’s license and the ability to maintain a personal tool kit; use of company or personal vehicle as needed.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills; ability to work independently and in a fast‑paced environment.

  • Full‑time position, Monday‑Friday 8:00 AM‑5:00 PM with scheduled on‑call duties as needed.

Physical & Work Environment

  • Work requires standing, walking, climbing stairs and ladders, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and operating tools in varied weather conditions.
  • Occasional travel to off‑site locations and use of company or personal vehicle for business purposes.
  • Position is FLSA exempt.
