Boiler Technician

We are looking for a skilled and dependable Boiler Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for diagnosing, servicing, repairing, and maintaining residential boiler systems
. The ideal candidate has strong troubleshooting abilities, experience with hydronic and steam heating systems, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship and customer service.

As a Boiler Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring home heating systems operate safely, efficiently, and reliably for our customers.

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain residential boiler systems (hot water and steam)
• Service burners, gas fuel systems, circulator pumps, zone valves, expansion tanks, and heating controls
• Perform combustion analysis and adjust systems for optimal efficiency
• Conduct routine maintenance including cleaning heat exchangers, inspecting venting, and testing safety controls
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical boiler components (aquastats, pressure controls, low-water cutoffs, relays, thermostats, etc.)
• Perform system start-ups, shutdowns, and seasonal tune-ups
• Read and interpret piping diagrams, wiring schematics, and manufacturer specifications
• Identify needed repairs and clearly explain recommendations to homeowners
• Complete accurate service documentation and maintain detailed service records
• Ensure all work complies with Massachusetts plumbing and mechanical codes, safety standards, and company policies
• Participate in on-call rotation as needed

• 2+ years of experience servicing and repairing residential boiler systems
• Strong understanding of hydronic heating and steam systems
• Experience working with gas-fired heating equipment
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical manuals
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
