Mental health and addictions care need a Therapeutic Assistant at Memory Lane, Central Zone. Support therapeutic services through collaborative patient care planning.
Nova Scotia Health seeks a Therapeutic Assistant for its Community Transition Program. Reporting to a Registered Nurse or LPN, you will work under a Recreation Therapist’s direction. The position supports health promotion, therapeutic services, interdisciplinary communication, and individual care plans.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist with health, health promotion, and therapeutic services
- Follow individual patient care plans
- Communicate patient-specific information to treatment teams
- Collaborate cooperatively with interdisciplinary team members
- Grade 12 plus year one of accredited Therapeutic Recreation studies
- Completion of Therapeutic Recreation Foundations Course
- Current CPR certification required
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Community resources knowledge;
French is an asset
Support Community Transition Program patients with therapeutic services, care-plan collaboration, and informed interdisciplinary communication.
