Business Accountant

P+S Personnel are pleased to be working on behalf of our clients, who are currently seeking Business Accountant to join their team based in Lowestoft on a full-time, permanent basis.

Role

Summary:

You will take the ownership of the day-to-day finance function, and not afraid to get involved, while also supporting the development and growth of the company through improved systems and processes.

Main Responsibilities:

* Complete month-end processes and produce monthly Management Accounts.

* Prepare budgets and report on variances.

* Weekly and monthly cash flow forecasts.

* Perform weekly bank reconciliations and liaise with the bank.

* Submit quarterly Group VAT data to accountants, review, and process payments.

* Raise sales invoices and manage credit control.

* Assist in staff recruitment, management, and development of the department as the company grows.

* Conduct balance sheet reconciliations.

* Process and pay supplier invoices.

* Monitor performance against financial targets and recommend actions.

* Continuously improve finance department processes to meet changing business needs.

Experience and Qualifications:

* AAT qualified (or higher) or qualified by experience.

* Experience in management accounting.

* A proactive approach to system and process improvement and financial controls.

Working Hours and Benefits:

* Monday – Friday 37.5 hours per week
