Horizon School seeks to appoint Teacher or Instructor at our Main School site in Lowestoft, to start as soon as possible.
Horizon School is a two site Alternative Provision (KS1 – KS4 site and Tier 4 In-patient Youth and Adolescent CAMHS) in North Suffolk. Children come to Horizon School for intervention when they require support in managing their behaviour. This can often be at a point of personal crisis or where their underlying needs haven’t yet been identified, which are therefore creating a barrier to them accessing mainstream education.
RoleTo implement and deliver the Horizon School Maths curriculum to years 7-11 and other subjects as specified in the job description which engages and ensures all students are able to make progress in line with expectations in all subjects.
Horizon School Management Committee value the importance of Continuing Professional Development and will support the successful candidate with completing any training necessary to fulfil their role and career development.

It is essential that the successful candidate is skilled at making positive relationships with students, has excellent classroom management skills and has a passion for teaching high quality lessons.
