This fixed-term post in the EYFS team at Westwood Primary School runs for 38 weeks a year until 31 August 2027. The work centres on supporting learning for individuals and small groups, adapting planned activities under teacher guidance and backing pupils with additional needs. Hours are 31.25 a week, Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 15:15. Visa sponsorship is not available, and a four-month probation period applies.
Whatthe job involves
- Support teaching and learning in the EYFS, working with individuals and small groups to help children make progress
- Deliver and adapt planned learning activities under the guidance of teaching staff
- Promote inclusion and give targeted support to pupils with additional learning, communication, behavioural or physical needs
- Support children's wellbeing, independence, personal care and positive behaviour as required
- Monitor progress, give feedback to teachers, and build relationships with families, colleagues and external professionals
- Enhanced criminal record check
- Satisfactory references
