Your new company
We are seeking an experienced maintenance engineer for a global manufacturer for their site in Lowestoft. The working pattern includes days and nights working 12-hour shifts (Panama)
Your new role
You will join an experienced maintenance team and your duties will include:

Monitor line performance and identify equipment that is operating below expected standards.
Conduct mechanical and electrical fault‑finding diagnostics to determine root causes of issues.
Perform high‑level maintenance activities, including adjustments, component replacements, repairs, and major equipment overhauls.
Carry out planned and reactive maintenance to minimise downtime and support continuous production.
Monitor equipment operating conditions, collect performance data, and log findings accurately.
Analyse performance trends to identify potential failures and implement corrective actions before breakdowns occur.
Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with production teams to support continuous improvement initiatives and enhance equipment reliability. What you'll need to succeed

Ideally, you will have completed an engineering manufacturing apprenticeship (or similar level qualifications) you will have strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills and experience with automated or semi‑automated production equipment.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics.
Competence in data collection, logging, and performance analysis.
Proactive approach to problem‑solving and equipment optimisation.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
