East Coast Community Healthcare (ECCH) is seeking a compassionate and motivated Senior Quality Nurse to join our Corporate Team, supporting Intermediate Care services across our communities.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced nurse to play a key role in driving quality, safety, and patient experience while empowering staff to deliver ECCHs rehabilitation and enablement model. You will provide visible leadership, promote learning, and help embed our Proud to CARE values

Working as part of our Quality & People Directorate, you will collaborate with the Head of Patient Safety, Professional Educational Lead, and Pharmacy Team to support service improvement, celebrate success, and ensure our patients and carers are at the heart of everything we do.

Main duties of the job

The Senior Quality Nurse will play a key role within the Corporate Nursing and Quality Team, supporting the delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate care across East Coast Community Health cares (ECCH) Intermediate Care services.

Working as part of the Quality & People Directorate, the post-holder will provide visible clinical leadership, professional guidance, and quality improvement expertise to ensure delivery of ECCHs Organisational Strategy, with a focus on our Proud to CARE objectives (Compassion, Action, Respect, and Everyone) and a deep commitment to Patient and Carer Experience.

A central aspect of this role is to empower staff to deliver ECCHs rehabilitation and enablement modelsupporting individuals to maximise independence, prevent deconditioning, and live well at home or in community settings. The postholder will act as a vital bridge between operational services and the corporate quality function, helping teams translate assurance, data, and learning into meaningful action and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional pride.

Job responsibilities

Quality, Safety & Governance

Support delivery of ECCHs Organisational Strategy,embedding the Proud to CARE objectives across Intermediate Care and relatedpathways.

Provide assurance on quality and safety through clinical audit, observation, and data review, supporting services to identifytrends and implement improvements.

Lead thematic analysis of incidents, complaints, and patient and carer feedback, ensuring learning is captured, shared, and actedupon.

Contribute to governance processes, supporting teamsto prepare for and respond to internal and external inspections (e.g. CQC).

Support clinical risk management and help developimprovement plans addressing emerging risks or priority themes.

Strengthen quality oversight through proactivecollaboration with operational and multidisciplinary leaders.

Patient and Carer Experience

Champion the voice of patients and carers across

Intermediate Care, ensuring their experiences drive improvement and innovation.

Promote co-production and the inclusion of people withlived experience in service design and evaluation.

Use feedback, compliments, and stories to recogniseexcellence and celebrate what matters to patients and families.
