This is a 12 Month fixed term contract.
We’re looking for a hands‑on, safety‑focused Marine Operative to join our busy and customer‑facing marina team. This role sees a varied and dynamic environment supporting daily marina, boatyard, and plant operations. No two days are the same, ensuring excellent customer service, safe and efficient boatyard operations and general marina duties. Tasks include:
- Lifting and launching vessels using our 70T Boat Hoist
- Assisting with boatyard operational tasks
- Berthing boats using the VHF radio
- Pressure washing vessels
- Operating a forklift
- Towing boats using the marina launch
- Taking payments and completing invoicing
- Serving fuel and ensuring safe fuel‑handling procedures
- Providing office support as needed
- General knowledge of commercial or leisure vessels
- IT literacy
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to meet health & safety standards and pass all in‑house training
- Experience operating plant/equipment (e.g., 70 ton hoist, forklift truck)
Hours of work are 40 hours per week, 8‑5 Monday to Friday.
