We are looking for a dedicated and proactive
Sales Advisorto join our team, helping customers transform their homes from start to finish.
- Full-Time Position
- Some Bank Holidays required (closed for Christmas)
- Base Salary + Commission
- Customer Engagement: Warmly welcome customers to the store and provide friendly, expert advice across our entire product range.
- Flooring Sales: Confidently sell our wide range of flooring products, including Carpets, Vinyl, LVT, Wood, and Laminate, along with associated sub-floor preparation and fitting accessories.
- Furniture Sales: Sell Sofas, Living/Dining/Bedroom Furniture, Beds, and Mattresses.
- Bespoke Orders: Build personalized pricing and manage the full ordering process for bespoke/special order flooring, furniture, and bed products from manufacturers.
- Logistics Coordination: Contact customers upon stock arrival and efficiently book suitable fitting and delivery slots.
- Order Ownership: Take the lead responsibility for your sales orders from the initial enquiry through to completion.
- Customer Care & Resolution: Collaborate with the team on customer care. Manage any customer queries or complaints by setting up claim procedures with manufacturers, or arranging replacements and stock collections.
- Display Setup: Set up and maintain in-store displays for sofas, furniture, beds, and home accessories. This may require product assembly and styling room-sets using in-store items.
- Stock Control: Assist with regular stock checking and communicate effectively with the stock control and admin teams.
- Collections: Assist customers with collection orders, such as rugs or boxed items, helping load them into their vehicles.
- General Duties: Handle telephone enquiries and take messages for other staff members as needed.
- Stock & Delivery Handling: When needed receive deliveries, cross-referencing delivery notes against actual stock arrival (for sofas, furniture, beds, and home accessories).
- Be aware of and adhere to all internal health & safety requirements.
- Manual handling of large boxes, mattresses, sofas, and furniture may be required as part of the role.
- A passion for customer service and delivering an exceptional customer experience.
- Proven sales experience, ideally within the flooring or furniture sector (but not essential, product training will be provided).
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple orders simultaneously.
- A collaborative team player who can also work independently and take ownership of tasks.
